Virtues of Altair: A Collectors Trilogy

A defining new chapter for Altair Estate

From the outset, the vision for Altair Estate was never to simply continue what existed before, but to build something more deliberate. Wines that reflect our unique terroir and the character of Margaret River, while expressing ambition, refinement and intent. Wines with identity. Wines with presence. Wines that stand for something beyond varietal alone.

Now, just four years since the estate was acquired, that vision is beginning to take form through Virtues of Altair; a premium collection that signals the next evolution of the estate.

More than a release, Virtues of Altair is a philosophy. A statement of intent. A framework built around the human virtues that sit at the heart of both great winemaking and bold, forward thinking producers.

Each wine represents a defining characteristic:

Success – a bold Bordeaux blend, already bottled and leading the collection. A wine that reflects achievement, leadership and quiet confidence. Already achieving 96 points, in the Wine Orbit Review.

Ambition – a Nebbiolo currently in development, due for release in late 2026. A wine shaped by vision, curiosity and the willingness to challenge convention.

Courage – a Chardonnay, also in evolution, set for early 2027. A wine that honours tradition while pushing into a more modern, expressive interpretation of Margaret River.

At this stage, Success stands as the first chapter. The only wine currently bottled, setting the tone for what is to come. Ambition and Courage remain works in progress, carefully guided and evolving in their barrels as the collection builds toward its full expression.

Together, these wines form more than a range. They form a narrative. One that captures the spirit of Altair Estate: grounded in place, shaped by intent and unafraid to evolve.

Virtues of Altair is not about following the market. It is about defining a point of view, creating wines with meaning, collectability and a clear sense of identity.

This is the beginning of a new era for Altair Estate.
