Altair Estate is a sustainably certified boutique winery that showcases a modern expression of classic Margaret River and Italian style wines. The wine tasting experience at the cellar door located at 213 Johnson Rd, Wilyabrup is a voyage for the senses that explores the journey of the flavours, from vineyard to palate.

Altair Estate’s vineyard is situated in the world-famous Margaret River wine region renowned for its excellent soil and production of high-quality wines and wine tasting circuit. The 30-hectare property encompasses 12-hectares under vine which include 10 grape varietals that are quintessential to Margaret River and Italy.

With a focus on elevating the region to new levels, Altair Estate has adopted sustainable winemaking practices, leading to the modernization and revitalization of the estate, whilst still preserving its rustic charm and rich heritage.

As a sustainably certified winery, our aim is to create distinctive wines with a modern approach towards cultivation – tailoring the output of the fruit to suit each wine.

 Winemaker at Altair Estate Josh Vince says, “The Margaret River region is known as a premium producer of world-class wines. As the estate’s winemaker, I am extremely excited at the opportunity to sustainably produce fruit from the amazing soils and varietals that translate our vineyard’s story into wines that are distinctive to Altair Estate.”

Altair Estate’s diverse portfolio of wines feature classic Margaret River and Italian grape varietals that will offer a wide range of full-bodied complex wines suitable for ageing, as well as vibrant wines that exude vitality and energy, meant to be enjoyed young.
